Week 3 of househunting.

After many, many, many phone calls to real estates, today I got to go & SEE a place. I was PSYCHED! So far it has been an impossible task to get an appointment to actually see a place I am interested in.
I know that agents don’t make any commission off rental places, & that it is apparently all just a big-ass hassle for them, but do they have to be so friggin’ rude!! I asked when one place was available to view & this bitch gave me a full-on serve about how I’m wasting her time when it clearly states on the net that the place is available on 10th July. WTF does that mean?!!! Why friggin advertise it?!!! Like I said, is there any need to be so rude?

Aaaaanyway, in the end the place I saw today had teeny rooms & they were asking way too much for it. There were also 10 other people there to see it at the same time, & they literally snatched an application from under my hand, so I just left. Not worth the fight, I cannot stand pushy people. Sydney is DISGUSTING for trying to find a rental place!

Tomorrow Marty is not working (HOORAYYYY!!!) & we have a couple of places to look at. We still have 5 weeks on the lease here, so it’s not desperate (yet)!

All else is quiet in my hermit world.

This morning Kaia had an Opthamologist appointment, pleased to report his sight is perfect & we don’t need to go back til he’s 3! (That is big news in the world of a prem)!
We did have to wait 2½ hours to see the Dr, which doesn’t really bother me as I know he’s up doing his magic in the Neonatal ward, but the waiting room seemed to be crawling with kids with croup cough & other chest infections. I was terrified! That is a prem parent’s worst nightmare wrapped in a bow! Fingers crossed the little dude has lungs of steel now…

He also had a Cardiologist appointment this week, a follow up on a heart murmur he had when he was teeny in hospital. Pleased to report everything is completely normal (& it cost $420 to find that out)! Totally worth every cent for that peace of mind though!

Very sadly I heard from my prem mum friends that one of the little dudes is back in hospital. It’s really upsetting when I hear that, as if those poor little babes haven’t been through enough already! Sending all my positive vibes to you little Lennon.

But on a happier note I got some very exciting news from a friend… but I won’t Blog it just yet. It’s her news to tell first!

& that about wraps up my hugely exciting week! (The sarcasm cannot be conveyed nearly as well in type)!
